Hi everyone
Now is 23.00 and I just finished watching one movie. I always got inspired by a movie. Every movie that I watched always inspired me in every aspect of my life. So this movie, Basketball Diaries. The story is a little bit heavy, I mean far away from my comfort zone. I never think about this before.

So, it's 1995, there's Jim with his big dream.  He wanna be a basketball player. He has a potential skill and 3 friends that always be there for him. He likes to sleep under the skies and write something in his journal. He is a street boy with a melancholy personality I guess?  He likes to do a criminal thing. Not a criminal maybe, but he shouting, being immoral, and be a bad teenager. One day he uses drug and become addictive. Drop out from school, kick out from home, he doesn't have anything and his friend being a success with basketball.

I cry while I watch this film. Jim knows he is a sinner, but he doesn't know what must he do to fix his life. He already makes all sin, he admits it in church. But he is so angry with himself. He is shouting to his mom, rob from a candy store, his friend kills people because of money. He is addicted to heroin and he will do everything to get money to buy heroin.  I never know a life like that. That's scary. Jim just wanna escape from suffering, but he meets more suffer by addictive with drugs. He cannot pursue his dream again because his life is such a mess. And the sentimental scene is when Jim comes back to his home to meet his mom. But what he says is "Mom I need you to help. I need money." That is the most heartbreaking moment in this film. Jim, maybe he is just a teenager full of energy, but he must face a scary life because his attitude.

I think this film makes me realize that there is a life that more hard than mine. I'm pretty lucky to have a mom and dad and a house. I must be grateful. I want to be more kind and good. Jim, the first time I saw him, he is like a free spirit. A teenager that I always imagine, free and wild. Swim in the river, play basketball, do fun together all night, always brave. But the curse of no responsibility is real. So you can do whatever you want, be free, wild, crazy. But you always have a responsibility to carry.
