Social Media for Teenager

Social media is a platform that is common to use in this era. It is interactive technologies that allow us to share information, ideas, interests, and other forms of expression via virtual communities and networks. They can share about their personal life, see other people's personal life, chat, and do other cool things. There are so many social media that teenagers like to use, for example, Instagram, path, Snapchat, Line, discord, Twitter, etc. They can use social media for almost 24 hours because teenagers always detach with a handphone.
One of the advantages of using social media for teenagers is, it can be used for learning some of the school lessons. By social media, we can meet a new people, and it can also be used for searching news and much information about everything else. Social media can be used to share some positive content such as, give support to someone that have some problem, or need some motivation.
On the negative side, social media can make many teenagers insecure. For example, Instagram just exposes glories and happiness in human life. They just show what they have, about friends, family, achievement, and other things that can be boasted about. The life of people that someone sees, can make them feel insecure and compare themself with people on social media. Also, social media can make hustle culture or toxic productivity because they have targets that are too high and unrealistic.
Privacy is dead, and social media hold the smoking gun.
Personally, I think the use of social media is either good and bad. Because as it was described, it has some advantages but it also has some disadvantages. And that’s why we have to use social media wisely, because if we don’t, then the use of social media would be a bad thing to do and has no good function, also unnecessary.
